New Students

Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering!

We're thrilled to welcome you to our department, home to a diverse group of talented researchers, lecturers, and scholars. We look forward to your contribution to the exciting and impactful work happening in Electrical and Computer Engineering at UW.

Take the first step in your academic journey by signing up for department-specific information sessions. These sessions are designed exclusively for accepted students like you and offer a unique, insider’s perspective on your new department. Prior to the sessions, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up.

Information about the next new student and orientation sessions will be emailed to applicable students. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the graduate team directly.
