Engineering
undergraduate
is
starting
her
studies
with
financial
backing
from
a
local
scholarship
program
for
Black
students.
Tahjeira Cameron is one of 10 recipients of awards of $1,000 to $1,500 from the Waterloo Region chapter of the Congress of Black Women and the Caribbean Canadian Association of Waterloo Region.
Cameron is studying computer engineering and plans to get involved with groups including Women in Engineering and Engineers Without Borders.
