Computer engineering team places at Canadian Engineering Competition

Two teams from Waterloo Engineering finished in the top three in their categories at the recent Canadian Engineering Competition.

Hosted by the University of Waterloo, the event featured 150 engineering students representing 15 universities from across the country. The participants had qualified to move on at four regional events.

In the senior design competition, one of eight categories at the national event, computer engineering students Jian Xin (Maggie) Han, Kristopher Griffin, Yuvin Weerasinghe and Patrick Groh took second place.

A team comprised of mechatronics engineering students Colin Cooke, Michael Jonas, Daniel Zhou and Jackson (Jake) Fisher finished third in the innovative design competition.
