Electrical and computer engineering professor, Claudio Canizares, honoured for supervision of grad students

A longtime professor at Waterloo Engineering has been honoured after supervising well over 150 graduate students.

Claudio Cañizares, a professor of electrical and computer engineering since 1993, is one of three campus-wide winners of the Award for Excellence in Graduate Supervision.

Claudio Cañizares, a professor of electrical and computer engineering, has supervised over 150 graduate students at Waterloo Engineering.

“Put the interests and needs of students first,” he said of his approach to the supervision of master’s and PhD students.
