Electrical and computer engineering professor, Claudio Canizares is the recipient of the 2022 IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Prize Paper Award for a paper he co-authored entitled "Definition and Classification of Power System Stability Revisited & Extended."
The Power & Energy Society (PES) provides the world's largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public.
The co-authors will be honored for their achievement at the IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting Awards Gala Dinner & Ceremony in July.
