Omar Alshehri

Omar Alshehri is the person whose PhD journey inspired the creation of Waterloo's Dean of Engineering Doctoral Perseverance Award. He is a former director at both the Saudi Council of Engineers (Industrial Engineering Chapter), and Saudi Chapter of Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). He also serves as a consultant for King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and is always looking to train undergraduate researchers and graduate students.
