In this online workshop hosted by the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region, we will discuss the impact of trauma on relationships, signs that a relationship is healthy/unhealthy, and tools and tips for healthy communication with the people in our lives.

Flashbacks and difficulty sleeping are common experiences among survivors of sexual violence. In this workshop hosted by the Sexual Assault Support Centre, we will explore why this happens, how to identify triggers, and strategies for coping with them. 

This workshop is hosted and facilitated by theSexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) of Waterloo Region. Join SASC in a safer space to connect with other supporters and explore strategies to support the survivor(s) in your life. 

Audience: Any community member who is supporting a survivor of sexual violence

Like everything else, Take Back the Night will look a little bit different this year. While we won't be gathering to march in the streets, we will still be reclaiming our cities, our streets, and our safety.

Treaties Recognition Week helps students, faculty, staff, and the public learn about treaties from diverse Indigenous perspectives and encourages greater understanding of the importance of treaties in Ontario.

At this session, you will find out more about the key updates to Policy 42: the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Policy and Procedures, the process for making a complaint, as well as your roles and responsibilities as a university employee when someone has been impacted by sexual violence

This credit-free course at Renison University will be facilitated by Kelly Laurila, who is of Sammi Indigenous (Northern Finland) and Irish Settler ancestry.

Through remote online learning, participants are invited to engage with critical readings, videos and films and participate in discussion posts and reflections with one another about reconciliation and what that means for Settler peoples. Everyone is welcome!

This workshop will raise your awareness of behaviours and attitudes that may contribute or lead to workplace harassment. You will also learn how these can be recognized and addressed in order to minimize the incidences of harassing behaviour.
