For over two decades, Dr. Susan J. Elliott has been a leading WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) researcher, focusing primarily on Sub-Saharan Africa. Her recent project, funded by REACH, delves into the intricate links between water security and gender-based violence (GBV), especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The International Geographical Union (IGU) Conference on Health, Environment and Sustainable Development: Changes, Challenges and Opportunities in a Post-Pandemic World will be held in Bucharest and Danube Delta, Romania, from June 13 to 16, 2023. The event will address critical issues related to health and healthcare, environmental changes and sustainable development after the COVID‐19 pandemic.
