Yuki Yeung's personal experience with heat in her student residence led her to research heat stress in Canadian post-secondary residences. Her thesis, published in Canadian Geographies, used Reddit to analyze student perceptions and highlighted the significant impact of climate change-induced heat waves on student well-being and academics. 

The Write-life project, led by COHESU and the University of Waterloo, examines the impact of COVID-19 on women's health in Kisumu, Kenya, and Mukono, Uganda. By centring women's voices across socio-economic backgrounds, this research aims to address health disparities and empower women, informing policy and practice to tackle inequalities deepened by the pandemic.
