The Department of Applied Mathematics has established a number of Cathleen Morawetz Graduate Entrance scholarships (in honour of the renowned Canadian applied mathematician) to be awarded to exceptional graduate applicants. These awards are open to all applicants (both domestic and international) with a value of $5,000/annum for a period of two years. The award is in addition to any other financial commitments made by the department, or any other national or international scholarships that the applicant may have been awarded. All applicants will be automatically considered for these awards, and will be informed by the Department of Applied Mathematics, if successful.
$5,000 per year for two years, in addition to other financial commitments by the Department of Applied Mathematics.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
