Are you a PhD student or Postdoc under supervision who may be interested in writing for The Conversation Canada?
Please join media relations via Teams on November 16 from 10:30 a.m. to noon when Scott White, editor-in-chief of The Conversation Canada, will discuss how academics and researchers can become authors for the publishing platform. Scott will also demonstrate the analytics dashboard that is built into an author's profile. The session is limited to academics and researchers, including postdocs and PhD students, as per The Conversation’s author guidelines.
The Conversation Canada is a unique publishing platform that combines academic knowledge with journalism expertise. It reaches millions of viewers across Canada and around the world. The University of Waterloo is a funding partner with The Conversation. We encourage those attending the workshop to bring potential story ideas. This session is a great opportunity to get feedback. Please register by emailing Pamela in media relations at psmyth@uwaterloo.ca.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
