Your time in a doctoral program can often feel extremely busy. Taking time out to prepare a plan forward can save you time later on. In this interactive workshop, you’ll have an opportunity to review your academic milestones, consider where your PhD could take you, and think about academic and non-academic opportunities available to you in order to design your PhD experience so that it's uniquely tailored to you.
This workshop is based on the principles of Design Thinking from the book Designing Your Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
