We studied the potential economic and environmental benefits of using idling fuel cell electric trucks to generate electricity in the peak demand hours. Learn about our work about FCEV to grid.
Daniel has successfully finished his MASc thesis. You can read his thesis "Analysis of the Economic and Carbon Emission Reduction Potential of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle-to-Grid in Alberta and Ontario."
Waterloo News featured our group's work on hydrogen and ammonia. You can find more information in the full article.
Congratulations to Soukaina on winning the Best Student Presentation Award in the 15th International Green Energy Conference! Good job!
Soukaina will be presenting her research on the levelized cost of carbon abatement of electrified ammonia production in the 15th International Green Energy Conference! Good luck!
Here is Carlo's video on decarbonizing ammonia:
We had a great time discussing clean ammonia for energy storage, combustion, and different novel production methods in the workshop!
A new paper titled "Electrocatalytic Disproportionation of Nitric Oxide Toward Efficient Nitrogen Fixation" is now published in Advanced Energy Materials. Using a bipolar membrane, the process effectively converts nitric oxide to ammonia and nitrates. We analyzed the techno-economics of the process. Congratulations, Jinhe!
Congratulations to Faris, our first MASc student in the group for submitting his master thesis! You can find his thesis "Co-production of hydrogen and ethylene in an oxygen permeable membrane reactor." Best of luck to Faris for his future career!
