Her thesis title is "Development of a Life Cycle Assessment and Techno-Economic Analysis Framework for Renewable Ammonia Production in Canada and Transport to Germany." It is a collaborative work with National Research Council Canada and RWTH Aachen University.
Aamer's paper titled "Current Research on Gaseous Ammonia Detecting and Capture Technologies" is now online in the Current Opinion in Environmental Science & Health. If ammonia is used as an energy carrier broadly, we need to develop better technologies to detect and capture the leaked ammonia. More information can be found in the article.

In the 2023 IEEE the 11th International Conference on Smart Energy Grid Engineering (SEGE 2023), XiaoYu presented an invited talk on evaluating hydrogen infrastructure in a Canadian municipality. Daniel also presented his work on understanding the economic and CO2 reduction potential of the concept of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle-to-grid.
