IEW 2022 - Renison international fair

Renison is coordinating their annual International Fair event on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in the Renison Atrium. 

Student volunteers in our Bridge to Academic Success in English (BASE) program and English for Academic Success (EFAS) program will be hosting interactive displays to educate students on aspects of world cultures.  Students will implement a passport system for participants to stamp as they visit each booth. Once they have 3 stamps, they can go to our international candy table to collect some treats.

IEW 2022 - "Where in the world" photo contest

Students who have had an international work term outside of Canada are invited to submit their photos to showcase the value of their international experience.

For example, you are welcome to submit a photo where you had an experience while abroad, a beautiful or epic scenery you encountered, iconic places you visited, or something that took your breath away and inspired you.

IEW 2022 - Balinese Gamelan Ensemble end of term concert

The Music Department at Conrad Grebel University College is hosting a Balinese Gamelan Ensemble.

Each term students learn how to play the primarily percussive instruments in a communal setting without sheet music, and the concert will allow the audience to learn about the culture of Bali and the different elements of World Music.

IEW 2023 - One Sky Festival

As part of the One Sky Festival celebrations, Renison's International Office is excited to present a series of daily events that celebrate cultures from around the world. These events will highlight not only the cultures corresponding to the languages taught at Renison but also the native countries of many of our English Language students on campus. The festivities will encompass engaging cultural activities that showcase the rich traditions of China, Japan, Korea, Panama, and more!

Co-operative and Experiential Education presents the annual "Where in the World!?" photo contest students working abroad during their work terms. It's a chance to showcase how you are contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and actively shaping a better world through your work abroad. This competition provides an excellent platform for students to share their enriching experiences and advocate for international work terms.

The Music Department at Conrad Grebel University College is hosting a Balinese Gamelan Ensemble.

Discover the captivating world of Balinese gamelan music, a mesmerizing ensemble of bronze and bamboo percussive instruments, which may include drums, flutes, strings, and vocals. Traditionally performed at ceremonial occasions in Bali for centuries, this ancient art form is taught by ear, as it lacks conventional notation.
