Join a University of Guelph / CAIDP webinar to present and discuss findings of recent research about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Canadian humanitarian and development organisations. Conducted by scholars at the Guelph Institute of Development Studies at the University of Guelph, the research surveyed 154 Canadian organisations about the challenges and impacts of the pandemic on their operations as well as collected information about these organisations’ response strategies.
The principal of the University of Strathclyde Sir Jim McDonald and president of the University of Waterloo, Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur, invite paper/abstract submissions for the first virtual research colloquium. The colloquium will provide an interactive space for graduate students from each University to present to international schola rs in the field.
The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted education systems in unprecedented ways. The crisis exacerbated long-standing inequalities, revealed the limits of technology, raised questions about learning loss and recovery, heightened concerns about corporatization, exposed the value of teaching, and much more. There is an urgent need to envision the future of public education for a post-pandemic world. What lessons have we learned from the pandemic for public education systems in Canada?
Waterloo International is pleased to be hosting Dr. Klaus Rümmele, Head of International Affairs Business Unit, from our valued partner university, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Dr. Rümmele will provide a brief introduction to KIT. The format will be a presentation of approximately 20 minutes followed by 40 minutes of Q-and-A and informal discussion.
