Button design contest winners!

The Library Outreach committee asked students to design the Library's next ten buttons. Students submitted designs from October 1st to 21st, and the Outreach committee pared down the submissions to the top ten. We asked our patrons to vote for their favourite. And the winner is...

A button design with the words "beautiful books, beautiful minds" surrounded by a floral design.The winning designer will receive a $50 gift card for Retail Services. There are also three runners up, who have won a pair of movie tickets, courtesy of the Affiliated College Libraries (St. Jeromes, Conrad Grebel, and Renison).

Three button designs, one with an image of the cartoon character Arthur, the next with an image of the exterior of the Davis Centre building, and one with an image of books and the words "University of Waterloo Libraries".

Thank you to everyone who took the time to make buttons! The contest would not have been a success without your help. Buttons will be available for patrons (and library staff members!) to pick up at the Circulation desks starting today.
