Introducing Winter 2018 Davis Student Staff

Our Collections Maintenance student staff are responsible for shelving newly received and returned library materials and ensuring the collections are maintained in proper order. Their work is highly valued and an important aspect to the library as it greatly impacts on our ability to facilitate access to the physical collections. Below is this Winter Term’s Collections Maintenance student staff team as well as the Environment Monitor and Circulation Desk Clerk co-op student at the Davis Library.

Shannon Ford

My name is Shannon and I have been working at various positions in the library for two years now. This term I am working in collections and circulation services at Davis, while in my final semester of a sociology and legal studies degree. In my free time, I enjoy driving my new (to me) truck, reading, and watching hockey. My favorite author of all time is George Orwell.

Cora Romany

Hello! My name is Cora Romany and I am a third year of a Classical and Legal Studies double major. I am a student staff working in the collections maintenance department at DC.  When I’m not studying I enjoy watching movies off Netflix.

Rebecca Corso

Hi my name is Rebecca. I am in my 2nd year at the University of Waterloo and I’m in the Honours Arts & Business program. This is my first work term co-op placement and my position here is environment monitor and circulation desk clerk. Outside of work I like to read and practice nail art designs. My favourite book series is Harry Potter, but something less known that I would recommend is the Red Queen Series by Victoria Aveyard.

We also welcomed back Fatema Adamji. This term is Fatema’s fifth term as a Collections Maintenance student staff. Her introduction can be found in a previous blog.
