Button appeared in our lives on a fateful summer day when she fell from her home and landed on the driveway of Ahmed Kenawy. Worried about the tiny creature, Ahmed carefully scooped her up and brought her to work.
The little squirrel could barely open her eyes. She was sweet and cried a little when moved from a warm person’s arms to the soft makeshift nest. Button was transferred to the care of an experienced wildlife handler, and has since transformed from a tiny, shy baby into a rambunctious, curious critter. Her tail has fluffed up considerably, and she likes to chitter for attention. Some of you may remember Button from a month ago. Here is Button today!
Button loves her new home, and while she explores the family’s deck, she eagerly sprints back inside at the sound of strange noises from the garden. Her foster family will care for Button over the winter, and set her free this coming spring.
