Parchment, measure: 325x231mm, 200fols numbered by a rubricator, at two columns, 37 lines. Beginning of second folio: D'un aiguillier mignot et gent. Binding with Napoleon's coat of arms. The Roman appears on fols 1-157r, followed by the Testament on fols 158r-167v. Fol. 168 is left blank followed by the Sept articles de la foi on fols 169r-200r and the Codicille on fol. 200r-v.

Le mari jaloux bat sa femme. Un voisin tente de l’empêcher de la battre; la femme du voisin assiste à la scène. Une seule autre miniature comprend les voisins dans le programme visuel: BNF, Ms. Fr. 24392, fol. 76r. * La seule miniature dans ce manuscrit à dépeindre le discours de l’Ami au sujet du mari jaloux: “in manuscripts that illustrate this scene, the entire speech of the Jaloux is visually summed up in the image of domestic violence” (Desmond, Marilynn. Ovid’s Art and the Wife of BathThe Ethics of Erotic Violence.
