MC Power outage Sunday July 12, 2026
What is happening:
PlantOps will be conducting electrical work and power is expected to be offline in MC.
When is this happening?
Sunday, July 12 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. See alternate time below for server downtimes.
What is the impact?
Research linux (linux.math, biglinux.math, fastlinux.math), teaching linux (linux.student.math)
and cluster linux (rsubmit.math, tsubmit.math) will be down from Friday July 10th 4:00 p.m. until Monday July 13 8:00 a.m.
During this time windows.math and windows.student.math will be running with reduced capacity.
The file servers files.math and files.student.math will be available the entire time.
What do you need to do:
Please shut down all office computers on the afternoon or early evening of Friday July 10th in preparation for this shutdown.
