Waterloo has facilities to provide broadcast-quality audio and video feeds with a double-ender studio. Please contact us for details on how to book.

Parking (for media)

Parking passes are available for members of the media who come to the Waterloo campus for events or to interview faculty or staff. While we cannot reserve spaces, the passes allow members of the media to park a vehicle for free in several designated spots across campus.

    Chemists at the University of Waterloo, SCIEX and Pfizer have discovered a new way to help the pharmaceutical industry identify and test new drugs, which could revolutionize drug development, and substantially reduce the cost and time drugs need to reach their market.

  2. Feb. 16, 2017Information night features tips on planning for university

    The University of Waterloo will host an information session on planning for a university education for students in Grades 9 to 11 and their parents.

    Grade 10 Family Night will take place next week, and will help students learn what they can do now to prepare for applying to any of Ontario's universities.

  3. Feb. 15, 2017UWaterloo researchers awarded $3 million for strategic research partnerships

    Five researchers from the University of Waterloo who are collaborating with industry and other organizations on strategic research projects received more than $3 million from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

    The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, announced the Strategic Partnership Grants today. They help bring together expertise from academia, Canadian-based companies and government organizations, and international institutes to collaborate on innovative research with commercialization potential.
