Personal Profile
Yanting (Helen) Liu received her B.A.Sc. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Windsor in 2014 with two co-op work terms of experience. Yanting was also a part-time research assistant at the University for approximately two years while completing her Bachelor degree, which focused on the analysis of source characteristics of ultrafine particles (UFPs) near the Ambassador Bridge. Her capstone project involved the retrofit of a storm water management pond, which won first place in the 2014 WEAO student design competition.
Yanting joined the NSERC Chair group at the University of Waterloo in September 2014 to pursue an M.A.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering supervised by Drs. Anderson and Peldszus with a focus on intermittent GAC for cyanotoxin removal.
