Betty was nominated in the Health and Wellness category, which recognizes women for promoting and helping others achieve and promote mental, physical or spiritual well-being in her career or community involvement.
Betty has worked as a mediator, trainer and consultant on conflict resolution and conflict management issues since 1993 nationally and internationally. She specializes in resolving workplace disputes and has helped many organizations design dispute resolution systems. She has also developed expertise in managing faith community conflict, particularly within the church. In addition to teaching Conflict Resolution (PACS 202), Betty delivers dispute resolution training through Conrad Grebel University College's Certificate Program in Conflict Management, Community Justice Initiatives (CJI), and others.
