PACS Student Communications Assistant
Are you a PACS-enrolled student with excellent communication skills, experience working with social media, and a vision for connecting to fellow students and promoting the PACS program? This job may be for you! The PACS Student Communications Assistant is responsible for developing and maintaining connections with PACS students through the department’s social networking sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), assisting in promoting and implementing PACS Sponsored Events, designing and sending out the PACS biweekly newsletter, and more! Other qualifications include working experience with Microsoft Office Suite, creativity, exceptional competency in time management, and the ability to prioritize in an independent work environment.
The rate of pay for this job is $14.00 per hour, with an overall average of 10 hours per week. This is an 8-month contract position for the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 terms. Some availability for training in August 2019 is preferred. You must be enrolled in a PACS plan (major or minor) and be completing a study term in both Fall 2019 AND Winter 2020.

PACS Living Learning Community Peer Leader
Do you have a passion for both PACS and being in a leadership position? Consider applying for the PACS Living Learning Community (LLC) Peer Leader job! Living Learning Communities are small groups of students from the same program who live together in residence. In the PACS LLC, 5-15 first-year Arts students interesting in pursuing Peace and Conflict Studies will live in residence at Conrad Grebel University College in a cluster under the leadership and support of the Peer Leader. The Peer Leader will be responsible for developing strong relationships with their cluster and ensuring that their students participate in and benefit fully from the initiatives of the LLC. Qualifications include excellent communication skills, proven leadership ability, a minimum satisfactory academic standing, ability to work independently, and a sincere desire to help others.
Compensation for this position incudes a set rate of $500 per term. On average, 5-8 hours per week are required to fulfill responsibilities, depending on the activities implemented and planned. This is an 8-month contract position for the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 terms. You must be a PACS student (Honours major preferred) in 3A or higher as of Fall 2019.
