Equipment description:
This system consists of a 20 T magnet and top-loading dilution cryostat enabling rapid electrical transport measurements in extreme high-field/low-temperature conditions.
System features and options:
- Superconducting NbSn3 solenoid, cooled by lambda refrigerator to 2 K for operation up to 20 T
- Non-metallic G10 composite tail suspended in the solenoid to prevent eddy current heating, allowing rapid field sweeps up to 1 T/min
- Samples up to 32 mm diameter with 20 electrical contacts
- Samples can be changed without warming the cryostat using telescoping probes
- Base temperature of 12 mK is achieved in 18 hours
