One year of TEM at the QNFCF

The QNFCF's JEOL F200 S/TEM has seen significant use in its first year, with 22 trained users, over 725 hours of operation, and over 274 samples characterized. The successful TEM Open House celebrated this milestone, showcasing the facility's capabilities to a large audience and demonstrating the growing demand for advanced microscopy techniques.

Quantum Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility 2023/24 annual report

The Quantum-Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF) is pleased to offer user training and support for mechanical sample preparation for transmission electron microscopy analysis. This service is available to anyone accessing our new JEOL F200 TEM system and is intended to complement existing sample preparation capabilities of the Zeiss FIB/SEM.

Anyon systems is seeking a talented nanofabrication process engineer to join their Quantum Hardware team in Waterloo.  The successful applicant will be tasked with fabricating and testing new superconducting quantum processors and peripheral hardware.  Advanced users of the QNFCF cleanroom facility are particularly encouraged to apply.
