Dr.
Mohammed
Soltani,
a
postdoctoral
fellow
at
the
Institute
for
Quantum
Computing,
has
been
working
on
fabrication
techniques
to
engineer
nanostructures
that
help
to
decrease
lost
photons
eminating
from
diamond
nitrogen
vacancy
(NV)
centers.
During
he
course
of
his
diamond
nanofabrication
work
(at
the
Quantum-Nano
Fabrication
and Characterization
Facility)
he
tested
some
of
his
fabrication
techniques
by
patterning
and
etching
the
University
of
Waterloo
and
Institute
for
Quantum
Computing
logos
into
his
diamond
substrates.
