Diamond logos shine brightly

Dr. Mohammed Soltani, a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Quantum Computing, has been working on fabrication techniques to engineer nanostructures that help to decrease lost photons eminating from diamond nitrogen vacancy (NV) centers.

New QNFCF Staff

The Quantum-Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF) is pleased to announce a new staff member, Nicolette (Nicki) Shaw our new Senior Facility Microscopist.

On Friday June 23rd, Dr. Kaustubh Vyas from GenISys GmbH hosted a training workshop on BEAMER and TRACER advanced software packages for Electron Beam Lithography (EBL) pattern preparation.

Wafer bonding now available

The Quantum-Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF) is pleased to announce that wafer bonding with our new SÜSS Microtech SB6 wafer bonder is fully commissioned and available for use.

Logo contest announcement

On December 21st 2022 it was announced that the QNFCF would be holding a logo contest in order to help us establish a visual brand for our future communications.  The contest closed on February 3rd 2023 with a healthy number of submissions from all areas of our labmember community, including some staff members.

Noah Janzen and co-authors from the SQD group recently published a paper in Applied Physics Letters on the high yield fabrication of Aluminum air bridge structures using grayscale electron beam lithography.
