Content & Scope
Under Canada's Controlled Goods Regulations, the University is required to keep records relating to controlled goods and/or controlled technology.
This records class excludes security assessments and related documentation for employees with access to controlled goods and/or controlled technology.
The records include security plans for individual projects, copies of contracts or agreements, proof of registration of the counterparty with the Controlled Goods Directorate, receipt, transfer, and disposal records, records of access to controlled goods or technology by exempt individuals under the Controlled Goods Regulations, and related correspondence.

Note
Responsible Units should document the disposal/destruction of official records using the University records destruction form or equivalent documentation, to verify that we are following our records retention rules.
