Departmental Clubs

Departmental clubs are managed by SciSoc and open to all members of the society. Most clubs have an office and/or lounge on campus available for studying and social activities. Clubs are allocated a portion of the SciSoc budget to host events related to their discipline. Respective Faculty of Science departments also support the clubs in various ways. There are currently seven departmental clubs recognized by the Science Society:

  • Biochem Student Association (BSA)
  • Biology Undergraduate Student Society (BUGS)
  • Chemistry Club (ChemClub)
  • Materials & Nanosciences Society (MNS)
  • Physics Undergraduate Society (PhysClub)
  • Science and Business Students' Association (SBSA)
  • Earth Sciences Undergraduate Society (WATROX)
  • Biomedical Science Student Association (BMSA)

@uwaterloo social directory

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is centralized within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
