Policy 42 Review: Share Your Feedback
As part of its triennial review under the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, the University of Waterloo's Office of the Secretariat, in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO), will be reviewing Policy 42, Prevention of and Response to Sexual Violence. In an effort to widely consult the campus community on the policy, we will be collecting data to measure and better understand policy effectiveness. We have created an online feedback form to provide an opportunity for campus community members to share their thoughts and provide feedback on the policy, including policy content, policy interpretation, policy application, and/or current supports for those impacted by campus sexual violence. Your feedback will be shared with the Policy Drafting Committee (PDC) assigned to review and redraft Policy 42, and will help inform policy changes - responses will remain anonymous and confidential.
We recognize that campus sexual violence remains a prevalent and ongoing issue that disproportionately impacts marginalized groups including, but not limited to women, Indigenous peoples, racialized people, 2SLGBTQ+ people, persons with disabilities, and persons with non-citizenship status. We also recognize that barriers to institutional supports and the accessibility of institutional processes will differ within and across social groups. We are committed to furthering our understanding of campus sexual violence at University of Waterloo, and aim to strengthen institutional processes for those impacted by sexual violence through an inclusive, accessible, and effective policy.
We truly appreciate your interest and time in sharing feedback - thank you.
