33rd annual Winterfest

UWSA welcomed over 250 staff and their families at Columbia Icefield to this annual event. It was a marked increase in attendance over 2020's Winterfest, which had to be held in the CIF parking lot as a drive-by event. We did need to continue following COVID safety protocols this year, but being back inside CIF for skating, crafts and Santa was fabulous. 

New this year were goodie bags, sponsored by Johnson Insurance. Each child who attended was given a bag stuffed with a coloring book, crayons, pencil and eraser, as well as some sweet treats and a refreshment. 

Many thanks to the staff at Columbia Icefield for hosting this event once again. Their smiling faces greeted attendees, handled the safety protocols at registration and provided monitoring for the skaters. 

Bob Steffler went above and beyond the duties of Santa Claus - thank you! 

This event could not happen without dedicated UWSA volunteers from the Fundraising and Social Committee. This year's amazing volunteers included: Melissa Holst, Rose Vogt, Peggy Day, Nancy Sej, Carmen Peters, Lew Fraser, Dianne Foreman, Lawrence Folland, and Jane Armen.
