Peer success coaching

It's normal to need help with studying, reading and learning at university. That's something peer success coaches understand and want to help you with.

Peer success coaching is a free service for all undergraduate and graduate students. Meet with a peer one-on-one in-person or online.

Note: Appointments are with students unless you see "Staff Member" when you book. This only happens during exam seasons.

University can be tough.

Managing competing deadlines, staying on top of readings and juggling all of your commitments is no small task.

Studying for university exams, taking notes and planning your time requires different strategies than those you used in high school. These are some of the common challenges university students face. But with peer success coaching, you don't go through it alone.

Coaches have been there. They understand what you're dealing with and want to help you.

Your coach will work with you on:

  • Helping you develop and reflect on academic goals
  • Identifying barriers and recommending strategies and resources to overcome them
  • Developing a personalized action plan for the term

If you have a specific area you're struggling with, coaches can walk you through new resources and strategies for:

  • Time management
  • Note taking
  • Reading skills
  • Study strategies
  • Exam preparation

My coach was a very good listener, and gave me several 'tune ups' for my study technique which have already shown benefit. Thank you so much for this free service!

The PSC was very helpful and identified strategies I should use and helped me greatly with formulating a plan for my success. He was able to teach me a lot in our first session. I feel more confident and well prepared after my session with him.
