During a #UWaterloo Instagram Takeover, we want to show our community – particularly current students, potential students, and alums – what life is like at the University. We want to feature different aspects of UWaterloo, events, and resources for our community.
This agreement will allow you to access the University of Waterloo's Instagram account. Acceptance of this agreement also means that you have received approval from the Social Media Manager of the University's central account.
Please read the following guidelines before agreeing to use our platforms for your takeover request.
Instagram stories
- Make a plan for the day. Set aside time to plan out the story you want to tell and the specifics you want to highlight.
- Share what you love, and audiences will respond well to your transparency.
- Do not post any stories to the highlights.
The tone of Waterloo's content should be consistently positive, engaging, and informative. We encourage you to capture the UWaterloo experience and share in the excitement and opportunities your service/departments/program offers. Remember that you are representing the University, and your department, so what you may post to your account may not be suitable for the campus account.
