A student in a red vest will be available to help you load your presentation onto the computer and to troubleshoot any issues during your presentation.
Session Materials and Instructions
-
Creating accessible sessions: To help you design and deliver sessions that engage the greatest number of participants and meet provincial accessibility standards, we’ve created a Designing and Delivering Accessible Presentations and Workshops resource [.docx] and PowerPoint Template [.ppt] for conference sessions.
-
Workshops: A bag with sticky notes and markers will be available in the room for your use for workshop sessions only.
-
Presentations: Each presentation session will have a Chair who will keep timing on track. You may ask them for time cues.
-
Posters: We encourage poster presenters to bring their poster to the Registration desk in STC when they arrive in the morning. Conference helpers will set up the poster. A dedicated poster session will accompany the end-of-day reception in the STC Main Commons. We encourage poster presenters to stand by their posters during the reception to engage with attendees about their work.
-
Handouts: If you plan to provide handouts to your session participants, please note that you may have 30-60 people or so in your session, as there are approximately 500 people registered for the Conference and eight concurrent sessions in a time slot. Use this accessible Handout Template [.docx] as a starting point, should you wish.
