Sergio Nava-Lara, born and raised in Mexico, is a social anthropologist committed to social justice, equity and inclusion through the promotion of ethical practices. He is convinced that a better society can be built from the evidence resulting from cutting-edge research. Has coordinated and collaborated on multidisciplinary research and socio-educational intervention projects. Holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences Applied to Regional Studies from the University of Quintana Roo and a PhD in Educational Innovation from Tecnologico de Monterrey. His areas of expertise include teacher training, educational interventions, and human development. In collaboration with research centers and international consultancies, he has conducted research on the relationship between educational leadership and socioemotional intelligence. Currently, he is a postdoctoral fellow at The Waterloo Institute for Social Innovation and Resilience (WISIR), where he fosters peer-learning for capacity building in the Investment Readiness Program.
