This week's Web Dev Rev started with Drupal notes:
- Waterloo Region Drupal Users Group October meetup features WCMS developer Eric Bremner showcasing some of his non-WCMS work
- Drupal 8 help topics are now searchable
- changing the Rules for Drupal 8
- simplifying Drupal frontend with Single File Components
- for Drupal 9+, site-installed Drush is the only recommended method
- Nyan cat progress bar
- Drupal core using PostCSS for development
Then, there were some "general" notes:
- PostCSS
- introducing Sass modules
- 100vh units in Chrome on Android can extend behind the viewport
- avoid 100vh on mobile web
- a Github action to automatically compress images
- adaptive photo layout with flexbox
- U.S. Supreme Court hands victory to blind man who sued Domino's
- what the heck is ARIA?
Following the notes, we watched the first 41:25 of "Navigating the Dark Arts of Configuration Management" from BADCamp 2019. We'll pick up the rest next week.
The next Web Dev Rev session will be on Friday, October 18th, in EC2 1112 at 11:00am.
