Detailed program information

Anthropology's sub-fields at UWaterloo

Students in the program are required to take both theoretical and practical courses in all three of these sub-fields. The rationale behind this is to introduce the student to the whole field of anthropology in order to emphasize the holistic theory which underlies all these ways of studying human development and culture. By the time students reach their third or fourth year they usually have some idea of which area is most interesting to them and can make appropriate course choices and career decisions. Follow the links at the left to learn more about the sub-fields of Anthropology at Waterloo.
