Hosted by the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture and the Co-Operative Education Department. This event is an excellent opportunity for employers to network with students across both the Bachelor of Architectural Studies Program and the Master of Architecture Program, helping to expand co-op and hiring applicant pools, while also learning about recent research and successes coming out of the school.

This event is open to past, current or new employers who are interested in hiring Waterloo Architecture students for upcoming term(s).

Please join up to 25 other co-operative employers in participating in the School of Architecture’s bi-annual career fair, Paths to Practice. Each employer will be allocated a table and asked to have informal discussions with students regarding upcoming co-operative and career opportunities at their place of employment. Registered employers are asked to participate in the full 2-hours alloted for the job fair portion of the day (3:00-5:00 pm). We also invite our registered guests to join us before and after the event for a series of panel discussions in the morning, and our key-note speaker of the evening. Details on speakers to be confirmed.

Meals will be provided for all registered employers.

For space consideration, we ask registered employers to bring a maximum of two staff persons from their company. Full details of the day will be sent out to those registered in advance of the event.

Please let us know of any accessibility accomodations, dietary restrictions, or special requests along with your registration. Please register in advance to ensure your participation in this event. Questions can be sent to: archadvancement@uwaterloo.ca.

This event has been generously sponsored by the Grand Valley Society of Architects.

In addition to your participation in this event, we invite you to consider a donation to the Student Experience Fund within the School of Architecture.

Student Experience Fund

This fund helps reduce financial barriers for students by lowering costs related to conferences, studio materials, field trips, and international travel experiences, ensuring that all students have access to valuable learning opportunities.

Your gift to this fund will contribute to overall student success and growth by greatly reducing financial barriers affecting students in need of support. Although this is an optional gift, our goal is to have all participating employers make a financial contribution in the amount of their choosing. Donations can be made conveniently online or by cheque. All donations will receive a charitable tax receipt. Your gift directly supports students, showcasing your commitment to fostering Waterloo talent and innovation. Join us in empowering the next generation of architects!

We sincerely look forward to your participation in Paths to Practice this upcoming fall
