This is your opportunity to be in the audience as UWaterloo student teams pitch their startup ideas to a panel of judges from the local community. The top 8 teams from across night one and night two will move on to the Velocity $5K Finals on November 23rd to compete for a chance at one of four $5,000 prizes in grant funding to help turn their concept into a reality.

We are pleased to welcome Norma Jacobs, Wolf Clan, Caugga Nation of the Great Haudenausaunee Confederacy to speak to us on the two row wampum.

Her Ongwehonwe “the real people” name is Gae Ho Hwako “ancestral females holding the canoe before me” carries a profound responsibility. She is a Longhouse Faithkeeper and Elder. She has held strong through the onset of colonialism to her culture, language, values and beliefs.

The MBET program is a graduate entrepreneurship master's program that combines interdisciplinary courses with practical experiences in venture creation and commercialization. In MBET, students learn inside and outside the classroom.
