Alison Brooks named one of Britain's 500 most influential

Alison Brooks winning Woman Architect of the Year award
School of Architecture graduate Alison Brooks was recently named one of Britain's 500 most influential people in The Sunday Times.

The jury citation called Brooks "a powerful force in British architecture with her drive to produce handsome housing for ordinary people.”

She was recognized amongst other notable architectural names such as Dame Zaha Hadid, Lord Richard Rogers and Sir Terry Farrell.

Industry leaders in over 25 different fields selected the 500 individuals who are all considered to “demonstrate outstanding influence, achievement and the capacity to inspire.”

Brooks founded her UK based architectural firm Alison Brooks Architects (ABA) in 1996. Over the past two decades she has received numerous awards and accolades, including being named Woman Architect of the Year in 2013 by Architects' Journal.
