Gentrification Tax Action (Jane Hutton, Adrian Blackwell, Sameer Farooq, Kika Thorne) included in Now Magazine’s Ten Best Art Shows of 2018
Gentrification Tax Action (GTA) is a campaign for a tax that would support locally-managed, affordable housing for all. A Gentrification Tax would tax the escalation in house price (from 100 to 0% over ten years after sale), redirecting that profit towards community-controlled housing initiatives such as land trusts and cooperatives.
