Sepideh Rajabzadeh (MArch '23) was invited to Santiago, Chile to present her thesis, "On the Edge of Third Space: A Re-imagination of the Refugee Camp Boundaries"at the RC21 Conference 2024.

The 2024 edition of the conference, "The politics and spaces of encounters: advancing dialogues between and within the Global North and the Global South” was organized and hosted bythe University of Chile (UCH) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile from July 24-26th, 2024.

Sepideh who successfully defended her thesis in September of 2023, presented as part of the session "Scales of displacement and emerging spaces of encounter and mobilization: Seeking common ground across cities, disciplines, and social groups".

The conference aims to highlight the interconnected struggles within cities, to foster debates about how power dynamics and urban spaces influence conflicts, solidarities, cohesion, corruption, violence, inequalities, and segregation from intersectional and gender perspectives as well as their broader implications for cities and urban life.
