Indigenous Community Hub

School of Architecture students, Enoch Liu and Niara van Gaalen, created blueprints for potential Indigenous community hub for the redevelopment of the Charles Street Bus Terminal. They have been working together with Landback Camp to transform this space for the Indigenous community to connect and celebrate. They created a petition, which currently has over 3,000 signatures and is only growing.

With this concept, they have been moving forward in their production of their series of short documentaries. This project called upon community members to submit responses around Recollections and Imaginings, to be used in their upcoming docuseries, which is set to premiere mid-June on Gaukel St.

The project leaders are looking to gather responses from the community around Recollections: to actively remember towards the goal of building a public memory of this place, and Imaginings: to think forward to the futures of this place, grounded in repairing relationships across the past and present, towards just futures.
