Waterloo Architecture students recognized at CISC Architecture Student Design Competition

Congratulations to the finalists in the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) student design competition. The Tower, the 19th annual Architecture Student Design Competition, challenged students to design an all-steel observation tower located in a significant environment.

Christina Vogiatzis received the Award of Excellence for Summit, James Kwon & Phil Carr-Harris received an Award of Merit for Grand Canyon Lookout. Three other Waterloo Architecture projects were finalists in the competition: Ulyana Bunina's Flower of Life Steel Tower, Salina Lee & Owen Yang's The Ferris Tower, and Callum Nolan, Ethan Paddock & Colin Williams' Hopewell Tower. Winning projects were developed as projects in Arch 570, taught by Terri Meyer Boake
