Congratulations to Maria Luiza Ottoni, recipient of the RBC Water Scholarship and MA/MB Achievement award.
Maria is a Brazilian architect and urbanist, with a bachelor’s degree from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. Her design concepts always consider a passion for nature and awareness to design more sustainable and resilient cities for future generations. Her research areas of interest include water sensitive cities, biophilic architecture, flood-resilient and low-cost housing, and green infrastructure. Hiking, camping, and hand drawing are among her favorite hobbies.
