Nakanishi, recipient
of
the Marj
Schaefer Award.
Julia is a recent graduate of the Masters of Architecture program at Waterloo. Her thesis research explored adaptive building re-use in Japan's depopulating rural regions. During Masters, Julia was Co-Coordinator of BRIDGE Centre for Architecture + Design. In 2019, she co-curated a community project titled "Common Waters" with graduate students Tony Kogan, Omar Ferwati and Nicholas Frayne, Cambridge Art Galleries and community members. Julia was also a Teaching Assistant in the 1A and 3A studios as well as a MAP Peer Mentor.
