Exhibiting Artist for Cambridge Window Displays

Biography

Jessica is an intern architect and performance artist. She graduated with a B.A.S from Laurentian University and a M.Arch from the University of Waterloo, where she was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal for her thesis work titled “The Artifacts of No-Place”. This work and her ongoing praxis, use the lenses of her own racialized and gendered identity to poke at the performativity of- and expectations placed on- bodies in public space. With interests spanning posthumanism, somatic studies, ornamentalism, and sensory design she enjoys delving into the complexities of building spaces which celebrate and embody life in its many forms.
