The Intensive Bridge to Academic Success in English program (iBASE) is an accelerated 7-week English language program for students admitted to Accounting and Financial Management or the Faculties of Applied Health Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Environment, or Science.
If you meet Waterloo's academic admission requirements but your English language scores are just below our minimum admission requirements, you may be offered a place in iBASE.
Once you successfully complete this program, you begin studies in the program listed on your offer of admission in the fall with the rest of the first-year students.
How is iBASE different from the regular BASE program?
- You complete iBASE in the summer and start full-time degree studies in September with the rest of our first-year students. You do not need to wait until the following year to begin your degree studies.
